Choose suitable bee colony :

Beekeeper cannot pursue perfection when introducing bee species, because no species bee can be perfect equipped with all advantages. We should make decision based on geographical candition and on your production purpose.

Feeding of Bee Colony：

Honey and pollen are principal food for bees, while water and inorganic salts are indispensable for maintaining vibrancy of bees. Feeding can be divided into two kinds: life-maintaining feeding and award-feeding, of which the former aims at setting bees free from hunger.

Disease Control and Others

Disinfection for Beehives and Beekeeping Appliances：

It is favorable to carry out disinfection in late autumn and early winter, better sterilizing beehives and honeycombs thoroughly, while the utensil and vessels being sanitized before and after each use.

Breeding of Bees：

Traditional bee breeding is of slow speed and poor heat preservation capability, which renders bee colony vulnerable to changes brought about by external environment; while the new spring-breeding method is advantaged in rapid development, strong capacity against external adverse environment and quick breeding.

Nectar and pollen source：

A radius of 3 km around apiary is required to be abundant with nectar and pollen source vegetation. Nearby the fixed apiary, there should grow more than one kind of main nectar and pollen source vegetation and various kinds of auxiliary nectar and pollen source vegetation with different florescence.Apiary must avoid poisonous nectar and pollen source.
